I can’t tell you how much I love this camera btw. It’s tiny, it’s nostalgic, it’s PINK, and did I mention that it’s tiny?

Even though I own some nice cameras, I have the most fun shooting on these old devices because it’s a challenge. Like my Fuji could make garbage look like art and honestly, where’s the fun in that? It’s kinda also why I hate shooting photos on my phone. I mean yeah, I get it. I have a Pro Max. Not because I care about the camera but because I just like the bigger screen for my blind ass. iPhone photos use software technology to enhance your photos. So even your most bland, garbage dumpster fire photos can look somewhat pleasing. Again, where’s the fun in that?

Anyway, my point isn’t to shit on iPhones or nice cameras but just to always encourage people who love everyday photography to pick up those old digicams from your thrift shops. Some are truly hidden gems and some may be decades old, cost a fraction of a new camera, and take legitimately better photos. They’re not all great either and may not have all the bells and whistles of modern digital cameras, but as a wise old man once said, “the simpler the better”. (Idk who said that, but I’m assuming it was a wise old man.)
